Wolf Eyes - w/ Spykes LP (HN_AM)

Very excited to announce this vinyl reissue of one of my favorite recordings from my time in Wolf Eyes. Recorded in October of 2000, back when the band was a duo of Nate Young and myself. We released this on limited CDr as a collaboration w “Spykes” aka John Olson. But it became apparent very quickly that he was just fully “in the band”. His free form approach really helped Nate and my “rock heads” hone in on exciting new territories and proved to be exactly what we were looking for after recent frustration in our attempt to record an LP in a professional studio. Wolf Eyes w/ Spykes was fully improvised, mixed live to two tracks in our basement in Ann Arbor, a much more comfortable and “Casual Approach” (hat tip to Joe there). Some of the sounds we worked with on these recordings eventually transformed into proper songs for our LP “Dread”, but here are the raw roots of the trio-era of the band. Remastered for vinyl by Jack Callahan and released by Olson, Dilloway, Young as HN_AM.
